2017 Booker Tempranillo
$89.99
Introducing the 2017 Booker Tempranillo, a wine that exudes confidence and elegance. Made from the favorite grape of Spain, this wine is grown to perfection in Paso Robles, where the steep limestone shale soils at Booker bring out the minerality that pops out of the glass.
With a deep glistening ruby color, this wine boasts primary, mineral-tinged black and blue fruits, potpourri, exotic spices, and a hint of pipe tobacco on the deeply perfumed nose. The sweet, impressively concentrated blueberry, cherry cola, and fruit cake flavors spread out steadily on the palate, picking up a suggestion of smokiness on the back half.
The plush and seamless texture of this wine is finished with superb persistence and smooth tannins that contribute framework and gentle grip. With hints of the old world lingering in the background, the 2017 Booker Tempranillo is a wine that confidently stands out from the rest.

Growing Notes:
Their 100 acre certified organic estate vineyard produces a myriad of different wines with an emphasis on Rhône varietals.
Booker is dedicated to the pursuit of farming perfection, constantly striving to find the perfect balance in the vineyard through certified organic farming practices as well as methods that draw inspiration from biodynamics. The westside of Paso Robles terroir is unique, boasting extreme vertical slopes and calcareous soils. Limestone beds with very little water make it hard to believe that anything could moreover grow. Yet the Booker estate produces some of the greatest wine grapes on earth. Â

Winemaking Notes:
In the cellar, the owner’s job as winemakers is to uncover the vintage Mother Nature gave them and showcase the quality of the fruit. Â It may mean a soft winemaking touch to craft an elegant wine, or pushing the limits to create a beast. Â Regardless, the end goal is to produce legendary wines. Â Wines that over-deliver and are delicious. Â No arrogance, not confusing, only yummy.
