WHAT IS TEQUILA?

Made from blue agave plants. Primary residence surrounds in the city of Tequila northwest of Guadalajara and Jaliscan Highlands central western Mexican state, Jalisco. Red volcanic soils suited for growing blue agave.  Los Altos region produce larger, sweeter aroma and tasteful blue agave. Valley regions give herbaceous aroma and flavor from blue agave.  Laws state, production stays in the state of Jalisco. Limited opportunities rise in states of Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit and Tamauilpas.

What is the difference between Mezcal and Tequila?

Both are made from agave plants. Specifically, it’s a type of mezcal. Mezcal produces up to 50 species, Tequila produces one, agave tequilana Weber(Weber blue agave).  Blue Agave steams in ovens, Mezcal roasts in underground pits, giving distinctive smoky aromas.
