Maker’s Mark 46 is the recipe of Bill Samuels Jr., son of founders Bill and Margie, and the first new major expression since classic Maker’s® was released in 1958. Maker’s 46® is aged longer with special seared French oak staves. With subtly layered bourbon notes and balanced complexity.

Tasting notes:

• Color: Reddish amber
• On the Nose: Cinnamon, sour cream coffee cake, butterscotch, baked orchard fruits
• On the Palate: Caramel, vanilla, nuttiness, oak
• Finish: Oak, tobacco, vanilla latte, cinnamon, toasted caramel

On its own, the depth of flavors and aromas give great dimension of character with this whisky.  Aged for 6 years in standard batched bourbon barrels. Finished 2-3 months with giant limestone in underground caverns. 100 yards from the distillery. French oak barrels were sourced from overseas to give it the extra oaky flavor.
